What's the latest?
On Thursday, June 17, the Princeton Regional Planning Board approved our site plan application by an 8-3 vote.  Many thanks to all who were involved in a variety of capacities: from attending meetings, to praying, to being involved in the actual planning.  We now enter the "treatment works" approvals phase of the project.  It will take us several months to move through these approvals.

What is In Christ Arise?
In Jesus Christ we are called to "walk in a manner worthy" of our calling (Ephesians 4:1). We are called to live out of the blessings that are ours in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). As the church, we are called to become the church.

For us at Westerly Road, this call means many things, not the least of which is a call at this time to relocate and build a new larger facility. In response to God's grace to us as a church, God is calling us:

Arise! Purchase the land! Build the facility! Relocate to the glory of Christ!

The Capital Stewardship Campaign is our response to God's call. Personally, I can't wait to see how God will work in our midst, opening our hearts and lives, moving us to a deepened commitment to Christ and His kingdom.

Yes, it is true that the church is more than a building; it is the people of God filled with the Spirit of God doing the work and worship of God. So make no mistake about it -- even in the midst of the Stewardship Campaign, we at Westerly affirm the church's true identity.

And yet, while the church is more than a building, it still requires a building. In our day and age, a building is a key tool for the ministry of Jesus Christ. And that is what our Stewardship Campaign is about: allowing God to move through us and provide a tool for ministry. A tool for mission. A tool for making disciples in Princeton and around the world.

Let us arise! Let us become the church we are called to be!

In Christ!
Pastor Matt

Where is the property?
The property is within the 2.5 mile radius from the center of town that the elders set as a parameter three years ago. It is just north of town located on the SE corner of Bunn Drive and Herrontown Road.
