Marion was born and raised in central Indiana, grew up in a Christian home and made his profession of faith as a teen. He and Mary Ellen met as students at Taylor University, and they were married a few months after graduation.Marion worked as a chemist for four years, before accepting a fellowship for graduate studies at Purdue University.Upon completing post-doctoral work, the family relocated to New Jersey in 1973 to accept a job in the medical department of a local pharmaceutical company. Soon thereafter, they began attending Westerly Road Church, and Marion became an Elder. In 1976 they left WRC with the group that founded Windsor Chapel, where they served for 16 years before returning to Westerly in 1992. Marion recently served on the pastoral search team, is currently a small group leader and sings in the choir.He enjoys music, computers and photography.He and Mary Ellen have two grown children and five grandchildren.
