Bill was raised in a Christian home, but did not profess to be "born-again” until he was 19 years old.He became active in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at DrexelUniversity. He met Janet through Intervarsity, and they were married three years later upon his graduation from Drexel in 1966. After a year in graduate school in Massachusetts, they settled in New Jersey. Bill first worked in undersea cable and microwave telecommunications systems design, before working in the satellite engineering business for thirty years; he is now a reliability engineering consultant in the undersea fiber-optic telecommunication cable industry. Bill and Janet live in Plainsboro and have three children as well as four grandchildren: son Peter, his wife Chrissy, and their two daughters, Rebecca and Annie; daughter Julie Cargille, her husband David, their daughter, Katie and son, Daniel; and their son Brad and his wife Stacy, who both teach overseas. They came to Westerly Road Church in 1996 and have been involved in Care/Mercy Ministries, Missions, and a Small Group. Bill and Janet enjoy spending leisure time with their children and grandchildren, and recently, international travel including visits to Brad and Stacy.
