Rick grew up in Connecticut in a church-going family, but he first heard the gospel at age 17, at a Christian camp in Maine.  He responded to the gospel in faith a year later, while attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts.  After earning a Master's degree in physics from Princeton University, he joined the staff of RCA Laboratories, later Sarnoff Corporation, where he worked until October 2001.  Rick now teaches computer programming, math and physics at SciCore Academy in West Windsor.  Rick came to Westerly Road Church on his first Sunday as a graduate student in 1974.  He was elected Trustee (deacon) of WRC in 1985 and Elder in 1993.  He and his wife Jo co-directed the AWANA Sparks club for its first 13 years, and they sing together in the choir.  Rick developed the first WRC website, and has led adult Sunday school classes. Rick enjoys gardening and visiting historic sites.
