Andy was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  He and his wife, Pat, moved to the Princeton area in 1980 after spending time in the Boston area for graduate school.  Shortly after arriving at Princeton University, where Andy is a professor of chemistry, they started attending Westerly Road Church. He has served on WRC’s Board of Elders since 1995 (with required years off in 2000 and 2008).  Prior to that, he was a member of Westerly’s Board of Trustees and served on various church committees.  Andy is Jewish, and came to know the Lord while in graduate school through Pat’s faithful witness over a several year period, starting when they were both juniors at UCLA.  They have two adult daughters and a sixteen year old son.
