Joachim was born in Esslingen, Germany, where he grew up in a nominally Christian environment. In 1993, after he completed his law degree in Germany he came to Atlanta, Georgia,for his masters. During his time in Atlanta, Joachim was faced with the loss of his sister. After asking many questions and struggling with his own purpose in life, Joachim came to faith in Christ. It was also in Atlanta where he met his wife Micaela. Upon his return to Germany, Joachim and Mic lived in Heidelberg and Munich for a total of 7 years before moving to Princeton in 2001, where Joachim is currentlyworking as an attorney. Joachim enjoys model trains, good food and hanging out with his wife and two wonderful kids, Max and Luisa. Joachim has also been enjoying serving as an elder at WRC since the beginning of 2006.
