Westerly Road Church
Westerly Road Church provides referrals for professional Christian counselors ("referral counselors") to its congregants. Such referral counselors are all Masters or Doctoral level graduates of counseling programs. Each referral counselor is under regular care and direction of an experienced mentor and all strive to provide biblically sound, Christ-centered, God-glorifying counsel. Our goal is that you would leave with greater self-awareness of God's activity in your life and with a greater capacity to meet present and/or future challenges in your life.
Getting Connected to a Counselor:
To initiate a counseling relationship, contact the counseling line (confidential) at the church office ((609)924-3222 x18). A counselor will call you back, gather initial data, and then set up an appointment. Depending on availability, the counselor will schedule an initial appointment with you where you will decide together whether to meet further. During the initial appointment, your counselor will discuss issues you've presented and outline a possible course of action. You and your counselor will then schedule future appointments as needed.
Please show courtesy to your counselor by giving ample warning (at least 24 hours) for any cancellation needed. Failing to give ample warning when possible may result in charges for missed sessions. Repeated failure to keep appointments may result in termination of the counseling relationship.
Fees:
Fees of $100 per counseling hour are payable directly to your referral counselor. These fees are far below the common market rate for counseling. If you feel you cannot afford our low fees, you may request assistance. However, this assistance comes from Westerly Road Church and needs approval from our Benevolence Team.
